Write for us
We welcome thoughtful pitches about the relationships and communities around athletic life. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to understand the subject, the reader and the approach you have in mind.
Subjects we welcome
Ideas might examine how athletes find belonging, how people exchange experience, what makes a sporting community feel open, or how participation changes when people connect. We are interested in careful observation, well-framed explanations and distinct perspectives rather than generic motivation or unsupported claims.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the working subject, the central question, why it matters to readers and how you would approach it. Mention relevant experience only when it helps explain your perspective; do not imply credentials you do not hold. A focused idea with a clear point of view is more useful than a broad list of possible topics.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial option. Include a short outline and any context needed to assess the idea. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication; please do not send confidential or sensitive personal information.
Sport is shaped by who is beside you
Athletic life is not only an individual pursuit. We look at the relationships and communities that make room for people to learn from one another and belong.
